SHORT STORY CONTEST RULES AND CONTACT INFORMATION
Contest is open to ages 16 and older. Entry fee is $5.00. Make entry check payable to Friends of the Elk Grove Library. Entries may be fiction or non-fiction and not longer than 1,000 words. Manuscripts must be typed and double-spaced. Final word count should be written at the top of the title page. Name, address, phone number, and manuscript title should be written on a 3x5 card and attached to the entry. Do not put your name on manuscript. Prizes will be awarded on Saturday, April 12, 1 – 3 p.m. in the Community Room of the Elk Grove library. There will be a panel presentation of four local authors.
The event is open to the public and free of charge. You do not have to submit a story to attend. Refreshments will be served.
