Elk Grove Traffic Advisory: Bond Road Improvements

To extend the service life of Bond Road and improve its appearance and skid resistance, the Public Works Department has contracted with VSS International to apply a variety of roadway treatments. Work is scheduled to begin today, Monday, July 27.

Affected Area: Bond Road from East Stockton Blvd. to Elk Grove Florin Road
Project Description: Work will include median improvements, the installation of ADA ramps, asphalt patching, removal of pavement striping, the application of asphalt rubber chip seal, sweeping, and the addition of a slurry seal.

Work will be completed in phases. Work on medians and the installation of new ADA ramps and concrete paving is scheduled through the end of August. Work will be performed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 27 to October 19, 2020.
Driver Impacts: During construction, a single lane will be open in both directions at all times. Access for property owners and businesses will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and consider Elk Grove Boulevard or Sheldon Road as alternate east-west routes during peak drive time hours.
