Employers Start Filling Summer Positions

As April comes to a close, employers are starting to search for summer help. This week brings openings for seasonal employees at Sprint along with permanent jobs in banking and fitness. Look for more summer-only positions to open up in the next few weeks.

Position:  Facility Technician

Duties: Repair and maintain all buildings and equipment and other related duties.

Requirements: 1-2 years experience in operations/maintenance and/or health club maintenance, strong interpersonal communications, organization, ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Position:  Kid’s Club Attendant

Duties: Childcare, customer service and administration

Requirements: Patience in dealing with children and customers, High School Diploma or GED and 6-12 months childcare experience.

Position:  Personal Trainer I

Duties: Assist members with education and guidance on proper food intake, cardio respiratory training, supplementation and resistance training.

Requirements: Knowledge of principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique, High School Diploma or GED, certifications (please see website for details), able to lift up to 50 lbs. Personal Trainer experience preferred but not required.

Position:  Assistant Store Manager

Duties: Assist the Store Manager, motivate and develop employees, interview candidates, scheduling, payroll, accounting and store maintenance.

Duties: This is a summer temporary help position that will end in mid-August. Employee must meet or exceed service and sales objectives.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of retail sales or customer service in a high-volume and fast-paced environment or 2 years of college education.

Position:  Seasonal Technical Consultant

Duties: This is a summer temporary help position that will end in mid-August. Employee will provide in-house support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance and prepare reports for analysis.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED and electronics troubleshooting experience, or 2 years of college education. Face-to-face customer service experience required.

Position:  Small Business Banker

Duties: Responsible for acquiring and retaining small business relationships. Will identify, develop and drive results from business partner relationships.

Requirements: 3-5 years consultative outside sales in financial services, business to business sales or small business banking. Must be able to analyze financial industry trends, and understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis. Undergraduate degree in business, finance or economics preferred or minimum 7 years' work experience.
