Cosumnes Oaks High School students will earn green when they go green during “America Recycles Week.” This Saturday, November 12, the school is launching its first rePLANET recycle drive in order to fundraise for their 2012 Safe and Sober Grad Night. Elk Grove residents are encouraged to show support by bringing their aluminum, glass and plastic containers to Saturday's drive.
The effort is part of rePLANET’s new rePURPOSE fundraiser program designed to boost recycling efforts while supporting local schools and charities. Participating organizations receive an extra 10% of their CRV deposits when they recycle at any of the over 400 rePLANET locations in California. The lucrative fundraiser requires little effort but offers big rewards.
Community groups throughout California have already raised thousands of dollars through the rePURPOSE program. Interested groups can sign up or learn more here: http://replanetusa.com/replanet_fundraising.html
