The Elk Grove Youth Orchestra and the Capitol Chinese Orchestra will perform a Holiday Concert in the Multipurpose Room of the Elliott Elementary School, 10000 East Taron Drive, Elk Grove, on Saturday, December 3, 2011, 3:00 - 6:00 PM. Conductor Michael Chan states there are about thirty members in the Elk Grove Youth Orchestra, a string orchestra. There are approximately twenty members in the Capitol Chinese Orchestra, which uses traditional Chinese musical instruments. The program will cover musical selections from Chopin to Traditional Chinese pieces to holiday music. The public is cordially invited. There is no charge for the concert.
