WHO: Non-profit group 3in4 Association and its spokesperson, elder care expert & author Dr. Marion, has partnered with Emeritus Senior Living to launch the “Bring Your Talent” contest, a search to find America’s most talented seniors and caregivers.
WHY: The contest is part of the national 3in4 Need More campaign, an educational initiative to raise awareness about the need for Americans to better prepare for their long-term health care needs.

WHAT: The Elk Grove leg of this national campaign is coming to Emeritus at Laguna Creek on Tuesday, May 8. Dr. Marion will share her long-term-care planning tips and advice at 1 p.m., then emcee the “Bring Your Talent” audition at 2 p.m. for any seniors and caregivers in the Elk Grove region. The winner of this national competition will receive one year of free rent at any Emeritus community, with 11 runners-up each receiving one free week.
SPECIAL GUESTS: The event will include performances by Fannie Curro, the 2011 Ms. Senior Santa Clara; Nellie Robinson Ortega, finalist in the Ms. Senior California State Pageant in 2007 and 2008; and Joni Morris Cardinall, finalist in the 2011 Ms. Senior California State pageant.
WHEN: Tuesday, May 8 – Dr. Marion’s talk starts at 1 p.m. and the talent auditions will follow at 2 p.m.
