Get some exercise for a good cause and participate in The Running Zone's 5K Fun Run Number Four, where you'll run/walk on a flat course of pavement and receive refreshments at the end. You'll also be eligible to win some fun raffle prizes, like shoes and t-shirts! Proceeds benefit The Running Free Foundation, which is "dedicated to fitting student-athletes in need with new running shoes."
The Running Zone is trying to collect 100 turkeys for Elk Grove Food Bank Services to distribute to needy families this year. So bring a fresh or frozen turkey to the race if you can!
Registration goes from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. near Elk Grove Ford at the corner of Auto Center Drive and Laguna Grove Drive. See you there!
