TrailFest is hosted by the Central Valley Rails to Trails Foundation and benefits Project R.I.D.E.'s therapeutic riding program for adults and children with special needs. The event includes a Chef Challenge where five of the top chefs in the region (Bret Bohlmann from Boulevard Bistro, Bill Ngo from Kru, Daniel Orijel from Roxy, Jay Veregge from Ten22 and Kevin O'Connor from Blackbird Kitchen) compete by preparing Passmore Ranch fish, and incorporating other surprise ingredients provided by Lucky Dog Ranch and Feeding Crane farms. TrailFest guests get to watch the chefs prepare their dish, and then have a taste after they present to the judges.
Over 30 vendors also provide a taste of their locally produced wine, beer and food products, while guests enjoy live music by J Parson, and local artist exhibits. KFBK's Gregg Fishman is the emcee and there will be a magnificent Gypsy stallion at the event so that guests can guess his weight for a chance to win over $500! Reserved tables are available in advance, and reduced price tickets are sold online in advance, or at the door.
