Gourd Grinch
Ornaments by Sylvia Nelson, Saturday, November 23, 2013 Noon – 3pm,
Workshop Fee: $30, Materials Fee: $8. (All materials will be supplied). This class is suitable for beginners (even
children). We will make a “Grinch” gourd
ornament that can be worn as a necklace or used as a tree hanger. The gourd will be prepared so that all the
participants have to do is paint the head and hat using acid free, archival
metallic ink supplied. The hat and rim texture will be done using “snowtex”. To
finish the Grinch, participants will draw or paint a grinchey face on the
ornament using examples supplied or draw their own interpretation. The goal will be to have fun and to complete
a “Grinch” ornament.
