My niece Annabelle Blackman works in both the Oakland and Alameda Libraries. She recently helped coordinate a successful event at one of the Oakland Branches dubbed Bikes, Books and Bubbles. Sadly someone stole a custom bike from one of bike repair volunteers. Annabellle has launched a campaign to help demonstrate we don't have to accept gloom and doom. And thatwe have the power to step up and make things better. I agree and an passing the message along. see
