Come join us with your best chili recipe and compete to win $1,000. Old Town Elk Grove Chili Festival organizers are looking for chili contestants for their upcoming Old Town Elk Grove Chili Festival. This is our 6th year for this very popular street festival. It is set for Old Town Elk Grove on Saturday, June 8, 2013. We are always looking for new chili contestants and are going to pay you to help us do just that. In addition to competing for the BEST People’s Choice Chili and our new “Homestyle Chili” We will pay you $100 if you sign up another chili contestant. That’s right. You sign up to compete and get another team to sign up we will give you $100. Maybe you could split the $100 with the other team you sign up. The more teams you sign up the more we pay. The winner of our People’s Choice award wins $500 and the winner of our “Homestlyle Chili” also wins $500. Win both and you get the $1000. In addition our “Homestyle Chili” winner automatically qualifies for the World’s Championship Chili Cookoff the first weekend in October, down in Palm Springs, CA.
