If you post photos of yourself or kids online you should read this

A lot of people post photos of themselves or their kids online through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other apps using their smart phones. What most don't know is their phones are geotagging their pictures, not only with an address, but sometimes with an exact location of a bedroom in the house or a place in a park. This can be used by anyone with bad intentions. Pedophiles, ex-spouses, and criminals can easily see where you are, where you live and track your movements.

If you have an iPhone and want to disable geotagging on your photos, go to "settings", then "privacy" then "locations services" then scroll down to "camera" and turn it off. Also check your privacy settings on Facebook to limit who can see your pictures and posts. Often friends of friends can see what you post if they comment on your posts or pictures.

I posted a link to a news story done by an NBC affiliate about the photo geotagging on our website. It's something all parents should see. Very creepy.
