Jake Rambo to Hold School Board Campaign Kickoff

The event will be held in two weeks.

Elk Grove school board candidate Jake Rambo will launch his campaign later this month with a family-friendly event.

Rambo, who was appointed to the school board in March and is running for election, will hold a "root beer floats and family fun" campaign kickoff on Sept. 16, according to an email from his campaign.

The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at , 8671 Magnolia Hill Way.

Rambo currently represents Area 6 on the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Education, and is running for election against Steve Ly.

In addition to the upcoming campaign event, Rambo also announced endorsements that include Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones, teacher and former Elk Grove mayor Rick Soares, retired school board Trustee Brian Myers, Elk Grove Vice Mayor Pat Hume, City Council Member Sophia Scherman and Rancho Cordova Mayor David Sander.
