Merryhill Elementary School in Elk Grove Students Raise $5,313

As a reward for reaching their fundraising goal for Faces of Tomorrow, students covered their teachers with green goo

Students at Merryhill Elementary School in Elk Grove recently donated $5,313 to Faces of Tomorrow, an organization that provides surgical services to children and adults around the world with facial deformities. To collect donations, students held a variety of fundraisers, including a penny war between classes and a walk-a-thon, during which students received donations for each lap they completed. As a reward for reaching their donation goal, teachers allowed students to cover them with bright green slime during a school-wide celebration. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping children in need.
