Merryhill Preschool Students in Elk Grove Hold Butterfly Release
Students recognized Earth Day by releasing butterflies in their schoolyard
Students at Merryhill Preschool on Harbour Point Drive in Elk Grove have caught the environmental bug! Students recently celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing butterflies throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment. Throughout the week, students also planted flowers in gardens around the school.
Leading up to Earth Day, students observed caterpillars, their cocoon development and transformation into butterflies. Merryhill Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
