Merryhill Preschoolers Donate School Supplies to Local Nonprofit
Elk Grove students presented their donations to a representative from About Kidz
On Aug. 2, students at Merryhill Preschool on Calvine Road in Elk Grove presented a donation of school supplies to a representative from local nonprofit About Kidz. Throughout the month of July, students collected donations of backpacks, binders, and other supplies for students in need of school materials ahead of the back to school season. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping other children in their community.
About Kidz is an organization established to meet the practical needs of underprivileged children in local communities to create equal opportunities for academic and athletic excellence. About Kidz focuses on addressing the most basic needs of low-income and at-risk children to make the biggest impact.
