Miss Elk Grove Helps Bring In 100+ Coats for Local Families in Need

The following is a press release from Elk Grove Food Bank Services: 


Allison Bush provided Elk Grove Food Bank Services Clothes Closet over 100 new and gently used coats for children and adults on November 13, 2013.  Allison was recently named Miss Elk Grove within her age group for 2013/2014, and also ranked in the top five of the 2013 Miss California Junior Pre Teen competition for Northern California.

 

The Elk Grove Clothes Closet provides students with school clothes, mothers with baby clothes, men and women re-entering the work force with business attire or families struggling to make ends meet with clothing for the winter.  The Clothes Closet currently serves over 2,000 people a month with serviceable clothing.

Allison set up collection sites at various locations throughout Elk Grove including Edna Batey Elementary School, Cities of Elk Grove and Pleasant Grove, Folsom Ready Mix, Encore! Studio of Performing Arts, Fusion Fitness and Dance, and Cold Stone Creamery.
