Learn about Affordable Healthcare under Covered California at one of our free workshops.

There’s been a lot of confusion about The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. But we’re here to help.

The Sacramento Public Library and the UC Davis Center for Reducing Health Disparities are sponsoring a series of seminars to help individuals and small businesses learn everything they need to know. These sessions will all be focused on answering one question: What does the health care law mean for you?

The next seminar in your area is on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Elk Grove Library.

After the passage of national health care reform, California enacted legislation to establish a state agency to implement the new law. Most Americans who are uninsured or under-insured will soon have access to affordable healthcare. Starting in 2014, the California Health Benefit Exchange, known as Covered California, will offer a range of plans that will make it easier for individuals and small businesses to purchase quality health coverage.
