Two parents received misdemeanor citations on Wednesday.

A pair of Elk Grove parents received citations for misdemeanor charges of child endangerment after their toddlers were found wandering alone in the street outside their home, according to the Elk Grove Police Department.

Elk Grove Police responded to the intersection of West Stockton Boulevard and Breton Way around 5 p.m. Wednesday, and found two dirty children without shoes, ages 2 and 4, police spokesman Chris Trim said.
