The article was published in the December 2014 edition of the Journal of Physician Assistant Education and examines primary care models in PA education. The authors specifically focus on the patient-centered medical home, a model of care delivery where a team of healthcare providers work collaboratively to provide quality care to patients.
“As our healthcare system continues to evolve, we know that PAs will play a critical role in delivering care to patients,” said Kayingo. “Due to their versatility and clinical training, PAs already work in these emerging models of care and are valued medical providers.”
