Students at Merryhill Preschool in Elk Grove Donate Hygiene Items

Students donated bags filled with toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and more to Mustard Seed School

Students at Merryhill Preschool on Laguna Park Drive in Elk Grove recently donated 25 bags filled with essential items to Mustard Seed School, a free private school that provides education to homeless children. Over the past two weeks, students held a drive to collect toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, combs, soap and more for students who attend the school. At the close of the drive, students decorated tote bags and filled them with the donated items for delivery. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to children in need.

Mustard Seed School provides a safe, nurturing and structured environment, a positive learning experience, survival resources of food, clothing and shelter referrals, medical and dental screenings, immunization updates, counseling for children and their parents, and assistance entering or reentering public schools.
