POLL: Will Sheldon Win CIF Basketball Championship?

The Sheldon High School boys basketball team heads to the California Interscholastic Federation Division I final Saturday at Power Balance Pavilion.

The boys basketball team heads to Power Balance Pavilion Saturday to compete for the California Interscholastic Federation Division I state championship—the first time an Elk Grove Unified School District team has ever made it to the final round.

Sheldon will take on Mater Dei High School of Santa Ana after beating Carmichael's Jesuit High School for the Nor Cal title last Saturday. Giants in the local basketball scene, the Huskies are the underdogs in this matchup: defending champions Mater Dei are ranked second nationally, and the school has made it to more state finals than any team in California history.

The game starts at 8:00 p.m. Saturday. For fans who want to attend, here's some ticketing information, courtesy of the Elk Grove Unified School District:
