American Legion Encinitas Welcomes Everyone

Venue is open to the general public and hosts numerous events weekly including live music, billiards, daily dining specials and more...

American Legion Post 416 in Encinitas is a hidden gem located just 2 blocks off PCH at the corner of 2nd Street and West F Street. Post 416 has been open since 1935, making it one of the longest-standing establishments downtown.

While technically Post 416 acts as an organization for those who have served in the United States Armed Forces, the venue itself is open to the general public. It is a warm and welcoming environment with a great, friendly vibe. Staff and patrons interact like family and there is a genuine sense of community.

I will admit, the first time I walked up to the place there was a little hesitancy on my part... it looks like a private club. But when I poked my head in the door and was greeted with "Hi there. Welcome to Post 416. Come on it", well I was immediately put at ease. Stop by Post 416 and you will see what I mean.

The other reason to visit. Tasty food and very inexpensive drinks from their fully-stocked bar.

Recently, Post 416 has started providing live musical entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. Featured acts include some of the best bands in the area including The Hastings Band, Blown Fuse, High Minded and a variety of other top acts.
