ENCINITAS, CA — The 37th annual Taste of Encinitas will return next month to downtown Encinitas, featuring food from local restaurants, drinks, live music and shopping along Coast Highway 101.
The event, hosted by the Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association and sponsored by RPG, will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 25.
Attendees will be able to sample dishes from more than 25 restaurants and visit 35 Sip Stops hosted by local businesses featuring wine and beer. The event also will include nonalcoholic drink options, including non-alcoholic beer, mocktails, juice and coffee.
"We're so excited to announce 37 years of showcasing all the delicious eats and shopping that downtown Encinitas has to offer," Encinitas 101 Executive Director Irene Pyun said in a statement. "Downtown will be buzzing that night with live music on every block so make sure to come down."
Participants will receive a reusable takeaway cup. Organizers said restaurants are encouraged to reduce waste by using eco-friendly plates and utensils, and Styrofoam will not be allowed for the eighth year.
Tickets cost $60. Day-of tickets will cost $65, though organizers said the event typically sells out in advance.
Tickets are available on the Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association website.
