She loves attention. (RCHS)

Morpheus is a 5-year-old, 11-pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cat with a Blue and White coat.

She was picked up as a stray kitten and adopted right away.

Morpheus spent five years in her home. Now her owner decided they didn’t want a cat anymore. Morpheus was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS).

She will Meow for attention. Once you pet her, she will melt into you for more. She’s trying to figure out what happened to the life she had for five years.

The $100 adoption fee for Morpheus includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, and a registered microchip.

For more information visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas or log on to www.SDpets.org. Open from 11 AM to 4 PM every day but Tuesday.

Special note.

A special screening of “Critter Encounters – A Forever Home” on Thursday, July 30th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
Critter Encounters: A Forever Home follows a small wildlife sanctuary in Romona, California. Led by Wildlife Specialist, Andrea Burgan and her Lead Keeper, Connor Hoyt, the sanctuary provides a forever home to animals that can't return to the wild. Given a second chance at life, the animals become Animal Ambassadors to educate the community about wildlife, coexistence, and conservation.
This event will include live animal encounters, conversations with the founder, Andrea Burgan, food (provided by Jimbo's Naturally), and wine (provided by Nancy Stewart/PRP Wine). Register online at www.sdpets.org.
