ENCINITAS, CA — Candidates for Encinitas City Council District 3 and mayor will participate in two community election forums this month hosted by the Cardiff-by-the-Sea Town Council Committee of Cardiff 101 Main Street.
The District 3 forum, featuring candidates Arielle Golden and Ed Sprague, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 15.
The mayoral forum, featuring candidates Bruce Ehlers and Rimga Viskanta, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 22.
Both forums will be held at the Ada W. Harris Elementary School auditorium at 1508 Windsor Road.
The forums will be moderated by a reporter with The Coast News.
Community members can submit questions in advance. District 3 questions are due by Sept. 13 to EncD3Questions@gmail.com. Mayoral questions are due by Sept. 20 to EncMayorQuestions@gmail.com.
The Cardiff-by-the-Sea Town Council has hosted election forums since Encinitas incorporated in 1986. The council now operates as a committee of Cardiff 101 Main Street.
