How San Diego County Benefits
Some in San Diego are surprised when they hear that there are pockets of poverty in Coastal North County. Our research validates this. When we ask local sources where help is needed, they tell us that our programs fill their community’s needs. We seek to diminish the outward signs of poverty by providing new school clothes and shoes so that children focus more confidently on learning.
Our chapter has supported economically disadvantaged families since 1993. We are convinced: children who succeed in school are more likely to become the productive adults on which all of San Diego County will depend. That’s why we work diligently to support District 3’s elementary school children.
