Solace Brings Sophistication to the Encinitas Dining Scene

Building on his hugely successful North Park restaurant, Urban Solace, Executive Chef Matt Gordon triumphs again with the recently opened Solace & The Moonlight Lounge conveniently located in Pacific Station.

Open unfinished ceilings, the sleek bar, natural wood seating and stainless steel touches infuse the LEED silver certified lounge with an industrial chic vibe. Cool local artwork adds bling to the walls. Bottlehood transformed recycled bottles into a fantastic chandelier gracing the entryway.

Our server for a lunchtime meal was pleasant and efficient. Dishes were artfully presented with attention to detail. More than eye candy, the food was delicious. The popular Urban Burger with Niman Ranch Chuck, aged white cheddar and smoked tomato jam was cooked to perfection. Yummy appetizer options include citrus flavored Seared Albacore Chop Chop, melt-in-your-mouth House-Made Ricotta Fonduta and scrumptious Dungeness Crab “Brik.”

Solace is definitely a welcome addition to the bustling Encinitas restaurant scene.
