Blessing of the Animals Event at San Dieguito UMC
Community Welcome
Bring your friendly pets—on a leash or in a carrier—or a photo of your beloved animal companion as we celebrate and offer blessings for the creatures who share our lives and those who amaze us in our beautiful natural world.
We will have special readings and prayers blessing your pet companions, and those in nature around us.
If your pet is unable to attend or has passed away, we will feature a "photo board" and offer a blessing to them.
Stuffed animals are also welcome.
We will have a a "quiet" area for overstimulated pets as well as an area for caged pets.
There will be refreshments, a pet treat bag, and an activity for children. Rancho Coastal Humane Society will have information about their pets available for adoption.
If you are able, bring a donation of dry pet food to benefit the Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
