Checkpoint Planned in Encinitas: Sheriff
Deputies will be checking for sobriety and driver's licenses during the checkpoint this weekend.
ENCINITAS, CA: A DUI/driver's license checkpoint is scheduled this weekend in Encinitas, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department announced.
Deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff's Station will conduct the checkpoint from 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16 to 2:30 a.m. Sunday, April 17, according to a news release.
The location of the checkpoint — funded by a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration — was not disclosed.
