Chowder is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 10 year old, 21 pound, male, Turkish Van mix cat.
The average American house cat weighs 8 to 10 pounds. Chowder weighs as much as two of them. His new family will want to give him more playtime and less kitty treats.
His previous owner was diabetic. When he began to show allergic reactions, he surrendered Chowder to an animal shelter. After that he was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program.
