Summer Watercolor Journal. With Barbara Roth. Start this summer by learning simple watercolor, drawing and short hand journal writing skills to be more in touch with your summer’s sights, smells, inspirations and memories. By learning to record your observations quickly in a small journal that you can carry with you in your pocket, purse or briefcase you will be amazed at the amount of time you will find for painting and drawing. You’ll look forward to waiting in offices, sitting in coffee shops and standing in line at discount stores because those will now be opportunities to create pages in your journal. You’ll create a small take along studio and learn what art supplies work best for art journaling. In addition you will learn how to use a waterbrush, combine pen and ink with watercolor, make values sketches with ink washes and more. You may bring your own supplies or buy them from the teacher for a $15 supply fee. Classes are 4 sessions of 3 hours per session.
