Take your glass up a notch. With Sandy Levin. Have you already taken a fused glass class and wondered: “What’s Next?” Here’s your chance to learn a few tricks of the trade to give your fused glass pieces that special touch. Work with glass stringer to create fine lines and interesting designs or create murini that can be cut and used to make patterns in your pieces. Paint a picture with glass powders and frit. Learn how to include copper and aluminum in your work for some dramatic effects. In addition to creating three pieces of glass art; you will trim, grind and polish your pieces to give them that professional look, and learn different ways to hang and display your works of art. A $50 materials fee will be paid to the instructor at the first class ($10 per student for kiln firings to will subsidized by the San Dieguito Art Guild). Pick up finished pieces at the Off Track Gallery on Saturday, June 27, between 10:00 am –1:00 pm.
