Dog-Friendly Yappy Hour Summer Series To Benefit Rancho Coastal Humane Society

ENCINITAS, CA — Rancho Coastal Humane Society and Alila Marea Beach Resort have partnered to launch a summer series of dog-friendly fundraising events.

The inaugural Yappy Hour Summer Series will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on June 25, July 23 and Aug. 20 at the resort's VAGA Bar overlooking the Pacific Ocean. During each event, the resort will donate 15% of proceeds from featured food and beverage specials to Rancho Coastal Humane Society, up to $500 per event.

The events will feature food and drink specials, and appearances by Rancho Coastal Humane Society ambassador animals. Representatives from the nonprofit will also provide information about pet adoption programs, volunteer opportunities and resources for pet owners.

Organizers said the partnership aims to raise awareness and support for the Encinitas-based animal welfare organization while creating a community gathering for animal lovers.

The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce praised the collaboration, saying partnerships between local businesses and nonprofits help strengthen the community while supporting charitable causes.
