Drunk Decoy Operation Conducted In San Diego's North County
Nine stores were visited in Encinitas and Solana Beach, and two businesses sold alcohol to the decoy, according to the Sheriff's Department.

ENCINITAS, CA — Sheriff's deputies and agents of the Alcoholic Beverage Control conducted a drunk decoy operation Saturday in Encinitas and Solana Beach, the Sheriff's Department said.
No enforcement action was taken and was for educational purposes only.
The operation was conducted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and involved a plain-clothes deputy entering a store, acting intoxicated and trying to buy alcohol. If the clerk sold alcohol to the deputy, other deputies and ABC agents entered the store to explain why the decoy shouldn't have been sold alcohol.
