Easter Seals Awarded New Head Start Contract to Expand Children’s Services in Encinitas & Solana Beach

Easter Seals Southern California (ESSC) Disability Services has been awarded a new Head Start contract to acquire and run three Child Development Centers (CDCs) serving the cities of Encinitas and Solana Beach. The announcement was made today by Mark Whitley, president and chief executive officer of ESSC.

“Being granted a Head Start contract is an extremely competitive process. We are proud of our reputation as an organization that offers quality services to children and their families. We look forward to welcoming new families in the coming weeks,” Whitley says.

“Our center-based and home-based services give children the skills and confidence they need to transition to kindergarten and life beyond,” said Betty Reckard, VP of Child Development Services. “I am excited we’ll be able to reach even more kids and families with our services.”
