Encinitas To Host Housing Element Workshop On Feb. 1
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center.
ENCINITAS, CA – Following the failure of Measure T, the Encinitas City Council is encouraging community input on the city's housing element update during a Feb. 1 workshop.
Encinitas is the only city in San Diego County that does not have a state-mandated housing plan. Therefore, the council is welcoming feedback from community members on the type of housing plan they can support.
Measure T was a plan to increase housing density in Encinitas. The measure, however, was defeated by a nearly 56-44 margin in November.
