Encinitas Seeks Input to Help People Get Where They Need to Go

The City of Encinitas is hosting pop-up workshops to gather community input on improvements needed to make it safer to get around the City.

The City of Encinitas will be seeking public input at a number of pop-up workshops in over the next eight days. The workshops, located throughout the City, will gather community input on the improvements that are needed to make it easier and safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, and others to get around the City of Encinitas.

Pop-up workshops will be informal and the public is invited to stop by anytime for a five-minute discussion. Children are welcome to attend. See dates and details below:

The pop-up workshops are part of the City of Encinitas Coastal Mobility and Livability Study. The study will examine:

  • How people travel within the City;
  • What types of changes are needed; and
  • How the corridor can be more livable – for example, how to quiet train noise and enhance community character.

Public input will be used to inform development of draft concepts, which will be presented for public feedback in another round of workshops in early 2017.
