Encinitas Soccer Team Assists in WPSL Match

The girls on the Encinitas Express GU9-B soccer team may still be small, but they had a big role during a Saturday match between two teams in the Women's Premiere Soccer League (WPSL).

The teammates served as official ball girls during a game between the San Diego Sea Lions and Los Al Vikings. During the game, which was played at Cathedral Catholic High School, the girls were responsible for returning the out-of-bounds balls back into play during the game, ultimately helping the Sea Lions tie the game 1-1.
