Encinitas Surf Report Dec. 2-3

You would have thought with yesterday's wind, short period wind-waves combined with west ground swell would make for another day of sloppy conditions. But shape and form actually looks pretty good and clean this morning. 

Most waves are running at least waist high with occasional chest-high peaks. 

Offshore wind of at least 10 knots is producing some beautiful back spray. 

Winds should be blowing from the east throughout the morning and won't shift until later in the day. 

Tide drains until 10:00 a.m. at 2.5 feet and only rises one foot for this afternoon's high tide, so don't expect much incoming energy this afternoon.

For tomorrow, Saturday the 3rd, expect longer period NW swell in the 3-4 foot range with sustained offshore wind.
