Encinitas Surf Report: Feb. 10
Another small day for surf; possible NW fills in later this afternoon.
Waves right now are well below head-high levels; perhaps waist-high on the best slow peelers this morning. There's a light east wind that looks like it has the potential to switch later in the day to slightly choppy conditions onshore.
Tidal surges once again are negligible. This morning's low at 9 a.m. of 1.5 feet will rise not even a whole foot (2.3 feet at 3:15 p.m.).
If the new energy NW fills in later this afternoon—although it's not supposed to be a significant swell—it could produce shoulder-high sets. And who knows, with a little wind swell added to the mix, it's not impossible to see head-high sets later in the day.
