The Encinitas Sheriff's Station is partnering with Friends of Cycling and Encinitas Parks and Recreation for a Bike Road-E-O.
The Bike Road-E-O features a bicycle and helmet safety inspection and a quick lesson on the rules of the road. A "chalk street" course will be laid out for young cyclists to ride on and learn the ropes.
Sheriff's Deputies from the Encinitas Station will escort the kids through the course to point out hazards and give safety tips.
