This community wide event is being held to raise money for George Terris, who is 14 years old and battling a rare bone cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma.
Absolutely everyone who knows George says he is one of the nicest boys you would ever want to meet. Tall, strong, and gentle, George has a beautiful family and is surrounded by a large community of friends from Encinitas and from his church in San Diego.
The whole Terris family is loved for their warmth, kindness, playfulness, and generosity. George’s dad has taken a leave from his job to stay at home with George as he endures chemotherapy.

As friends of George and his family, we are organizing this poker tournament and other fundraising events to ease the financial burden for the family and to make sure money is there for whatever may be needed to keep George strong. Almost everything for this event has been generously donated, and 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to the Terris family.
Poker tournament entry is $150 for 2 players. The entry fee includes 2 player seats in the tournament, hosted hors d’oeuvres, 2 drink tickets, and 1 raffle ticket for each player.

Just want to watch? A $25 spectator ticket includes hosted hors d’oeuvres, 1 drink ticket, and 1 raffle ticket. There will be live music, beer, wine, cocktails, great food, a raffle, and a silent auction with lots of great items to bid on. Poker prizes include a 55” Vizio LCD HDTV, 3 nights’ accommodations in Oahu, 3 nights’ accommodations in Big Bear, and more.
