Flowers for Seniors
Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito begins program to deliver flowers to local seniors.
Sometimes we need assistance to stop and take time to smell the flowers. Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito (ALRSD) has begun a new program, Flowers for Seniors. Members met the morning of May 10th to create 40 beautiful flower arrangements that were delivered to local senior care facilities. The flowers were courtesy of the Encinitas Trader Joe’s. Deliveries were made to Olivenhain Guest Home, Atria Encinitas, Life Care Vista, Aviara Healthcare Center, Sunrise Senior Care and Meridian of Lake San Marcos.
Members of ALRSD who participated in the Flowers for Seniors Program were Linda Kermott, Stella Ramos, Kirti Patel, Joy Lappe, Joanie Warner, Helen Glazer, Lisa Zimnowokski, and Janice Daulton. Janis Boyer, sister-in-law of Janice Daulton, was visiting from Kauai and also lent a hand arranging and delivering the flowers.
Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to putting caring and commitment into action. Annually, members volunteer over 25,000 hours, and return over $100,000 to local communities through philanthropic programs. Communities served include Solana Beach, Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Cardiff, Encinitas and Carlsbad. Visit www.alrsd.org for more information.
