Free Pet Vaccination Clinic Coming To Encinitas

ENCINITAS, CA — Rancho Coastal Humane Society will offer free vaccinations for local pets Saturday as part of an effort to help families afford essential veterinary care and keep pets healthy.

The clinic will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at Rancho Coastal Humane Society's North Campus in Encinitas.

The event is part of Petco Love's Vaccinated and Loved initiative, which provides free pet vaccines through animal welfare organizations nationwide. Rancho Coastal Humane Society is expected to vaccinate between 90 and 150 pets during the clinic.

The clinic will offer DAPPv canine and HCP feline vaccines. The vaccines help protect dogs and cats from preventable but potentially deadly diseases, including parvovirus and distemper in dogs and panleukopenia in cats.

"By removing barriers to preventative care, more pets stay protected and that benefits our entire community," Rancho Coastal Humane Society President and CEO Judi Sanzo said in a statement.

The event will be held at Rancho Coastal Humane Society's North Campus at 389 Requeza St. in Encinitas. Pre-registration is required at sdpets.org.

Petco Love launched the Vaccinated and Loved campaign in 2021 and has provided more than 4 million free pet vaccines through participating animal welfare partners.

The free vaccination clinic is one of Rancho Coastal Humane Society's efforts to help families access pet care and avoid having to surrender animals because of financial challenges.
