Holiday Guided Walks at San Elijo Lagoon

See Life Between the Tides at San Elijo Lagoon: Saturdays December 20, 27 and January 3 from 10-11 am

Family and friends in town for the season? Free holiday guided walks will reveal the beauty and serenity of San Elijo Lagoon, one of San Diego’s largest coastal wetlands.

Saturdays: December 20, 27 and January 3 from 10-11 am

Enjoy the colors of the season: red berries of the green toyon and white-flowering coyote brush. Cooler days herald the arrival of migratory birds. They wade, hover, hunt, and rest in the salt marsh and mudflat habitats upon which they depend. This is life between the tides. You might see silvery mullet splash from the water. Glimpse Osprey and Egrets hunting fish and invertebrates in the salt marsh. Free. All ages.
