Israeli Dance Troupe for 5th-8th Graders. Plus Tachles Hebrew for Teens Tuesdays

Two great program offerings for Encinitas Families. We continue to offer for 5th-8th graders a fun social, cultural performance program with rehearsals in Carmel Valley and some in Encinitas. We also introduce our Tachles Modern Hebrew program for Teens at the Ranch.

Israeli Dance Troupe

The Tarbuton Israeli Dance Troupe has been a presence in San Diego since 2009 with a group of dancers performing year round at Israeli Festivals, the House of Israel at Public School international days and in area events.

We’re encouraging dancers ages 5th-8th grade to join us again this year. Rehearsals begin September 7, 2014.

Dance instruction to Israeli contemporary and classic music. The instructors focus on balance, strength, flexibility, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical and creative movement, all with Israeli music, and lots of fun.

Performing in San Diego since 2009. All dancers are required to have consistent attendance and to commit to rehearsals once a week on Sundays. The students will work on several dance numbers to contemporary Israeli music with performances for parents and various venues including the Yom Haatzmaout, San Diego Celebrates Israel Festival in May and the annual Lawn Event at the House of Israel.

1 hour rehearsals on Sundays: Building Jewish and Israeli identity through dance. These performers bring their passion for Israel to audiences throughout San Diego through high-quality choreography, to Israeli classics and modern “Top 40″ Israeli music, the Dance Troupe performs at Israel and non Israel related events year round.

Tachles Modern Hebrew for Teens

1 and 1/2 hour: Join us for Teen Hebrew experiences, where we take Tachles Hebrew to Teen spaces, learning to speak, understand and use Hebrew off the beaten path in San Diego. Possible site locations: We’re taking class to Costco, the Apple Store, Gelato, SkyHigh, and the streets of San Diego. Join us on occasion in the class location, with the remainder of the dates reserved for outings and experiences with friends using the Hebrew you learn and building it into your daily life. Hebrew speaking teachers share their personal Israel experiences and help you navigate your world in Hebrew. Hebrew for High School Credit (San Dieguito District Only) available.
