Laguna Beach Pageant of the Masters

The 2016 Pageant of the Masters sets out in search of stories of compelling collaborations that led to the creation of unforgettable artworks in this summer’s presentation of “Partners.” Filled with provocative and passionate tales of some of art’s dynamic duos–artists and patrons, models, muses, even dance partners! Be sure to bring someone special with you, as “Partners” pulls back the curtain to reveal the significant others without whom the creation of great masterpieces might not have been possible. Sometimes, two is the magic number!

Viewing will be excellent from loge-right section seating. The day will include time to browse through the Laguna Festival of the Arts grounds and the Sawdust Festival, or Art-a-Fair, offering a variety of paintings, creative arts, beautiful jewelry and fine crafts. The pageant is presented at 8:30 PM in an outdoor amphitheater under the stars, so warm clothing is recommended. Enjoy dinner on your own in beautiful downtown Laguna Beach (within walking distance) or dine at the restaurant on the festival grounds.

The date for the trip is August 31. Fee for the excursion is $105, which includes transportation and loge right seating at the pageant. Bus departs at 2 p.m. from the MiraCosta College Technology Career Institute, 2075 Las Palmas Drive, Carlsbad, and returns at 12 a.m.
