LCC, LJ Country Day Fall in State Volleyball Finals
Mavericks can't hold 2-0 lead in Division II match; Torreys beaten in four games in Division IV.
grabbed the first two games in Saturday's Division II state volleyball championship against Presentation High of San Jose, but the nation's ninth-ranked team came back to take a 20-25, 20-25, 27-25, 25-15, 15-9 victory at Concordia University in Irvine.
Presentation (39-2) was led by Emily Sklar, who had 22 kills to offset the 16 by Natalie Bausback and 10 by Cosy Burnett of LCC (31-9).
In the Division IV championship, fell behind early and lost to Union Mine High of El Dorado 25-18, 29-27, 19-25, 25-18.

The Torreys (33-9), who had won the past two state titles in the division, had no answer for Mikayla Tucker of Union Mine (33-5), who had 30 kills.
