Local Youth Basketball Club Offers Skills Clinic for Boys and Girls Beginning November 4th

Boys and girls from 3rd through 8th grade will improve their skill level in ball handling, passing and shooting in this upcoming clinic.

The MAVS Basketball Club, a competitive youth basketball program which serves 3rd through 8th graders, is accepting registrations for their fall Skills Clinic. Players meet weekly on Tuesdays for 6 weeks, beginning on November 4th. The sessions run through December 9th.

This clinic focuses on fundamental basketball skills, with an emphasis on ball handling, passing, and shooting. Inexperienced players are welcome and the clinic is open to both boys and girls. The sessions are held at the Encinitas Boys and Girls Club.

The MAVS Skills Clinic features a 7 to 1 coach to player ratio. The clinic is directed by former La Costa Canyon JV coach Arvid Kramer. Kramer is a former NBA and European pro player who has directed and coached the MAVS Club for 8 years.
